While the Cornerstone Workspace is designed to maximize a sense of community, it also respects the need for solitude and private space. An open, airy, light-filled corridor wraps around a tiered loft. The corridor contains three personal desk units with storage hutches, built-in bookshelves, a round work table and two porches. It leads to a kitchenette, two restrooms and an enclosed conference room with a window wall. A half-level staircase in the corridor opens into the first tier of the loft, which which contains four adjacent work cubicles. An even shorter staircase leads from this level to the top tier, which has two additional work cubicles. All loft spaces overlook the lower workspace and sit under skylights. The building has enclosed offices of varying sizes and configurations.

The Cornerstone building and its creative Workspace were designed in 1990 by an award-winning local architect whose company occupied it for many years. Since then, professionals ranging from chiropractors, accountants, psychologists, novelists, iPhone developers and filmmakers have been long-term occupants of offices in the Workspace and building at large.
The interior is organized into two major spaces per floor, separated by a service and circulation core. Entry is through a paneled elevator lobby separating the lower sections and accessing the upper level. The four major interior spaces of the building have been designed to suit the needs of the various tenants.
The basic interior elements of the building provide an abundance of natural light through window walls and skylights. A grid of 4x4 fir posts and sills contains the windows in the large window walls. The upper level features vaulted ceilings, fir trimmed collar ties and skylights. The larger upper space features a bright and interesting elevated central work area with storage beneath the platform.
